Sven B. Schreiber (sbs) A brand-new release, but an old recording - and a very pleasant one. It documents the beginnings of this excellent avantgarde band as a trio, minus Traci Newhouse and David Keller. Without the viola and the cello, the music doesn't have the classical chamber music attributes as found on "Distinction". Besides that, however, the band's typical sound with its distinctive RIO appeal is already clearly recognizable. Favorite track: For Lovers, All is Beauteous.

These days, all that we’ve got is lovely senseless sentiments. Then again, would you even want it any other way?

Last night, in my dreams, my teeth were falling right out of my head, right out of my head, right out of my I caught them one by one and held them so tight, just to hide them from you I tossed and turned thinking how my face burned and I melted right into the floor, right into the floor, right into the Remember how you laughed at my expense? And I crumbled like a leaf. Now I can't get it out of my head, get it out of my head, get it out of my head, get it out of my There's nothing I can do to stop where this is going Amicability keeps me drowning, and drowning, and drowning and drowning

about

An early attempt, when we were just a scrappy little trio.
